Welcome
Dave started to learn piano during his early years (age 6) and was classically trained until 2001 when he passed Grade 8 piano (ABRSM) with merit. In 1995 he began to compose songs and tunes that quickly caught on at Hope City Church and recently songs have been recorded and sold internationally on albums by the Audacious Band (www.liveaudacious.com) including a vocal-driven rewrite of the old Celtic tune 'Be Thou My Vision'.
His interests took a turn in 2003 when attending a lecture at Leeds College of Music. The idea of library music started an interest in his mind which gradually and ambitiously escalated to scoring music and sound for film and television.
Dave received his Bmus Creative Music Technology at Huddersfield University in summer 2008, earning a high 2/1. He's been working very hard using software such as Logic Pro 8, Pro Tools, Final Cut Pro and MAX/MSP for creative music composition as well as honing skills in orchestration, arrangement and writing for film. In modules such as Scoring for Film and Sound Design for Picture, Dave earned 1sts for all of his projects.
As well as being a big fan of composers ranging from Chopin to Thomas Newman, Dave also listens to current artists like Josh Radin, Coldplay and Hillsong United.
He is currently living in Leeds, England.
